Welcome to our small family homestead! Shade Le Grange is a small hobby farm operated by Rachael and Cody Shadle, along with our energetic 6-year-old son, who keeps us on our toes. Our journey began with a few chickens, and from there, we’ve slowly been growing our homestead, one step at a time. We have two golden retrievers, Darla and Wendell who like to help keep the chickens on their side of the fence, and Mozzie, our dachshund, an egg-locating extraordinaire who never misses a hidden nest when the free-range chickens decide the boxes are beneath them. We’re passionate about raising animals, learning as we go, and sharing the joy of farming with others. One day we hope to expand both our herd and flock and add some extra animals along the way.
